Fieldwork Slovakian caves

Yuri Dublyansky, Gabriella Koltai, Charlotte Honiat and Christoph Spötl joined Petronela Filipčíková on a superbly organised 5-day trip to caves near Blatnica in the National Park Great Fatra (joined by local geologist Pavel Pokrievka) and near Podspady in the Belianske Tatry National Park (joined by Peter Ševčík). Guided by Pavel Bella (Slovak Caves Administration) and Rastislav Milovsky (Slovak Academy of Sciences, Banska Bystrica) they also visited Dobsinska ice cave, one of the largest static ice caves in Europe and a small presumably hypogen cave on the eastern margin of the Vienna Basin near Bratislava.
