SINA meeting

The annual meeting of the Stable Isotope Network Austria (SINA) was held in Absam near Innsbruck and was organised by our group jointly with Michael Bahn from the Institute of Ecology. The meeting attracted some 40 participants from Austria, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Israel and Poland including a number of students. Keynotes were delivered by Robert Anczkiewicz (Krakov), Hagit Affek (Jerusalem) and Nicolas Brüggemann (Jülich). The wide range of topics of the oral and poster presentations (from soil microbial processes to mammoths and from ice caves in the Alps to rainfall in Iran) illustrate the fascinating spectrum of stable isotope applications in geo-, hydro-, atmo-, bio- and ecological studies.
