As part of the new FWF project "The wheel of time" Michael Meyer and his archaelogy colleagues from the US and Kazakhstan obtained initial samples for a rock surface dating approach from an archaeological stone arrangement site in the foothills of the Dsungarie mountains in the Tien Shan. They also collected rock samples for testing an petroglyph dating approach based on OSL rock surface dating techniques.
