The summer semester 2024 retreat of the Innsbruck Doctoral School in Mountain Climate and Environment took place over two days in the Zillertal. On the first day, six staff representing atmospheric, cryospheric and geological sciences led a field trip for 12 students to the Spannagelhöhle and surrounding area. After a day on and underneath the mountain the participants enjoyed a relaxing evening in Hotel Kohlerhof in Fügen. On day 2, the student presented their research as oral and poster presentations that led to lots of dynamic and interesting interdisciplinary discussion.
