Desert Kites

This project investigates the enigmatic desert kites in Armenia’s Aragatsotn Province. At Aragatsavan and Tlik, we will establish chronology, construction, and use through OSL and IRSL single-grain dating, sediment and soil analysis, archaeological excavation, artefact processing, and proxy correlations, clarifying the function of these large stone architectures and their cultural context.
