Benjamin works on OSL and IRSL dating of Late Pleistocene fine-grained lake sediments from the Hinterriss and the upper Isar valley. In combination with quaternary geological field mapping he reconstructs the sedimentary processes and morphodynamics that occurred at the northern rim of the Eastern Alps just before and after the Last Glacial Maximum.
