This special issue edited by Russell N. Drysdale, Christoph Spötl, John C. Hellstrom and David A. Richards emerged from a session at the INQUA Congress in Bern, 2011, and contains ten articles covering major topics and methods in high-precision age dating of the Quaternary period using speleothems.
