During week 1 Yuri, Gina, Katee and Christoph continued coring the thick calcite deposit at Devils Hole 2 both above and below the water table. They were joined by professional cave photographer Robbie Shone who took footage and stills.
During week 2, our team joined up with world-renowned cave diver Brian Kakuk and a film crew led by Jonathan Bird. Brian collected samples of water for us down to 300 feet so that we may analyse the water chemistry. The whole operation was filmed for the upcoming IMAX film, Ancient Caves.
