Hannah Pomella and Christoph Spötl welcomed the Austrian national team going to the International Earth Science Olympiad (ISEO) at the Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus, Thailand, August 8-17, 2018. They were accomanpied by Christopher Wintschnig who coordinates the Austrian ISEO activities. The two girls and two boys received a hand-on training in basic earth science concepts and also spent half a day in the field looking at outcrops. We keep fingers crossed that they will be as successful as last year´s team, which also visited our institute for a training.
Update (20 August 2018):
The Austrian team scored sensationally and won 3 Bronze Medals, 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal. Congratulations!
