Field work in Crimea

Continuing his collaboration with the Crimean Federal University, Yuri installed weather and soil monitoring stations on the Chatyr-Dag plateau, as well as scouted Crimean caves for stalagmites suitable for palaeoclimate research. The work also included drilling small wall-rock cores in the recently (2018) discovered large (>1300 m) hypogene Tavrida cave in the Crimean Piedmont.
